Not sure if that's due to me hitting them or that the mount is too stiff, so it flexes up and down and then cracks. Their cheap (I get four mounts out of a pair of $6 guards), but I've broken off a few.

As I mentioned, I've already made a short mount out of a splash guard. If I mount there, I want the plate as close to the end as possible.

Standing the bike up - The rear fender is short for a reason. I need to check NYS laws though as far as visibility.īut with the rear setup, I have two concerns:ġ. What I was hoping for though was to avoid the rear mount entirely, but I can't think of any place else besides the front number plate that would work and not get in the way while riding.
